Over a period of years many photographs have been taken of the river, here are a selection of the more memorable ones.
There are general pictures of the river, in all seasons, from near to its source north of Walkern down to where it joins the Lee in Hertford. There is even a photo taken with John Waite of the BBC when he came to make a programme about rivers in trouble and used the Beane as an example. We also have pictures taken when our MP’s have arrived to give us support. The section is periodically reviewed and new pictures are added. If you have a stunning picture and don’t mind sharing it, let us know.
In 2013 and 2014 we made a film about the river, its history, its poor condition and what is being done about it. These pictures are a selection of stills taken during the film making.
